About The Role:
The Benefits Manager is responsible for the administration of employee benefits for Hunter Douglas North America. The position is responsible for the annual benefits open enrollment process and will assist with benefits communications. This individual will report to the Director of Benefits and Wellness and will also provide support with benefit audits, required government filings, and special projects.

  • Administers the company s health and welfare employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and wellness programs
  • Manages the open enrollment process including system/vendor updates and testing
  • Assists the Director of Benefits and Wellness with benefits communications
  • Provides subject matter expertise to Human Resources partners across divisions
  • Works closely with payroll department to coordinate the process of payroll deduction changes
  • Performs ongoing audits of administrative practices and premium billings
  • Completes required government filings including forms 5500 and PCORI
  • Oversees Affordable Care Act reporting requirements and data tracking
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the service delivery and administrative processes for the benefits team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a corporate benefits department with demonstrated experience managing the annual open enrollment process
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability plans
  • Prior experience with the administration of health savings accounts and wellness programs
  • Advanced Excel skills including knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups and Formulas
  • Working familiarity with benefits administration and payroll systems. Knowledge of bswift and Ultipro is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter individual and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment

As Benefits Managers, we focus on providing access to and resolving problems for benefits products that internal employees receive. We communicate with employees and try to understand their needs and provide them benefit packages. We assemble employee information regarding benefit products such as insurance and vacation time and conduct cost analysis before selecting their benefits. We also supply documents to employees, related to enrolling and maintaining their benefits coverage. We answer any questions asked by employees related to their benefits and report to the management if there is a problem and ensure services are supplied according to the agreement.
