About Cruise Director

What does a Cruise Director do?

We, the cruise directors, serve as master planners for all forms of shipboard entertainment and activities in cruise ships. Besides, we ensure all social and cultural events are coordinated properly. We, as cruise directors, also act as the primary source of information for guests and passengers on the cruise. We make sure the guests are having a trouble-free and enjoyable experience.

Core tasks:

  • serving as a channel to passengers with problems and referring them on to the appropriate cruise departments
  • keeping staff informed regarding appropriate behavior and conduct among passengers and fellow crew
  • organizing information and reports for company headquarter or ship requirements
