Lincoln County is basically located in the coastal region of southern Maine, the United States. It was established in 1760 as a separate portion from York County, Massachusetts. It was named for Lincoln, England. Wiscasset is the county seat. The largest town of Lincoln County is Waldoboro. As of the 2019 census, the estimated total population was 34,634. It is one of the most populous counties in the State of Maine.
