Description:
//The Night Auditor is responsible for the successful management of the nightly operations of the Front Desk. S/he assists with coordinating cashier and accounting functions to provide the accounting department with accurate day end information. The Night Auditor is also responsible for the front desk duties, including check-in, check-out and any other guest issues that arise during the night shift. S/he will maintain the AAA Four Diamond Standards. * * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Registers guests into computer system, verifying registration, address and credit information * Assists with the accurate and timely posting of guest and room charges to guest folios, ledgers and city ledgers * Reviews room revenue reports for accuracy and completeness * Maintains ledgers in an in-balance condition * Responsible for sending credit card charges and balancing charges on a nightly basis * Accepts payment for guests’ accountants both at the time of registration and check out * Maintains accurate records of room availability * Answers incoming guests calls and transfers appropriately * Balances all daily reports for the resort * Protects assets by ensuring adherence to internal control policies and guidelines * Provides general resort information for guests * Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest * Accepts incoming guest correspondence and transmits appropriately * Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of manager * Follows proper check-in procedures * Performs nightly Food & Beverage audit and updates Golf POSI reports * Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events * Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • At least one year customer service experience required
  • Must have valid US Driver’s License and meet resort driving standards

About the Night Auditor role

Administrative - Other Night Auditor

As Night Auditors, we work in a hotel to deal with people as our job. We assist guests with their overnight needs and administer and balance accounts from the day period. We check-in visitors arriving nightly, manage guest requests, and finally, take reservations. As Night Auditors, we also settle all accounts, process bills, and make paychecks. We work In coordination with the front desk and clerks department and collaborate reports with the managers.

Core tasks:

  • welcome visitors upon arrival, check them in, and assist them by providing the information they need
  • processing bills, post checks to salespersons, and allocate employee checks
  • answering to the complaints, demands, and emergencies of the guests
  • reconcile all records in an efficient manner
  • verifying that all EOD activities have been done by other units in the hotel
