Started working for ManTech international when I retired from the Army. My initial job was Electronics Technician level IV repairing equipment to the component level.
After a year I transitioned to learning to repair HVAC and Generator systems.
I did that in Afghanistan and Germany for 10 years.

Support for family, good benefits.
Working as a contractor, for any company, means they can drop you anytime.

In the early 2000's we had a pretty sharp group of people assembled but management as it always does, began to push us obtain things we did not need for our positions. End result was the majority of the Minority Contractors were let go. The Project Manager was Racist!

We were given a hybrid schedule and were expected to be in office twice a week (we could come in more if we wanted), and there was flexibility with our own scheduling just as long as (i) we get our work done, and (ii) we put in 40 hours each week.
