In 2002, It renamed springwell to reflect the determination to serving the broader needs of the communities' seniors, people such as with disabilities, and caregivers. The organization was established in 1977 as West Suburban Elder Services. It has gathered a wealth of knowledge and insight about the many public and private resources available to the people it serves after assisting thousands of people over the years. The goal is to provide effective facilities to senior citizens particularly people with disabilities, and caregivers, guided by a belief in an individual's right to live independently in their community.
