CYCW (Child Youth Care Worker)
Wilkesboro, NC - August 4, 2021
Pay: Unless you are licensed, you are less paid than teachers and this is just a fact with the mental health field. Now I am an Employment Support Professional, getting paid a little bit more with less time working per week and with 5 hours more of paperwork. Before anyone says "you're getting paid more, you moved up" - nah; I know someone who was paid $30,000 more with 1 promotion (sales). Again, mental health gets paid peanuts. America pays 600 Billion in defense spending. Mental health is left up the states, counties, and cities to delegate as they care to and they all are petty with their money (they are either paying for mental health or they're not...).
CHA was a good company with great leaders, but like all other mental health companies, not enough trainers. I work apply again, yes. But, not for CYCW or the same pay.
