Richard Proudfit founded the organization named Feed My Starving Children in 1987 after visiting Honduras in the aftermath of the damages done by the hurricane. Richard, a philanthropist hailing from Minneapolis, was extremely moved by the sight of children dying all around him in Honduras and was then motivated to start an organization that would feed kids in dangerous war zones. As a result of hunger over 6200 children die daily, FMSC reckons that it can deliver hope in the shape of food and wants to see each kid whole in body and spirit. FMSC works closely with communities enabling them to make a transition from relief to development in the long term. The meals delivered by the organization are prepared meticulously by the experts in nutritional and food science to fulfill the hunger needs of millions across the globe. There are various job openings at the organization, especially for volunteer facilitators, operations executives, social services professionals, and more.
