The Wisconsin Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in need for more than 140 years, having been founded in 1879. WHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs animal shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door, and Brown Counties, as well as a West Allis spay/neuter clinic. WHS helps 40,000 animals per year.
