About the Company
Since its foundation in 1978, The Home Depot has become the largest home improvement retailer of the United States, supplying tools, construction products, and services such as installation. The founders' vision was to create a company that would keep alive the values that were important to us: respect among all people, excellent customer service and giving back to communities and society. The company is headquartered at the Atlanta Store Support Center and operates more than 2,200 big-box format stores across North America with over 90 distribution centers. Through The Home Depot Foundation, the company is involved in supporting a number of causes, including Habitat for Humanity, medical center and playground constructions, construction of green homes and planting trees to offset carbon emissions. Home Depot also supports the U.S. Military community with discounts and grants provided to veteran-based organizations.
