The North American Mission Council (NAMB) is the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) domestic mission organisation. The NAMB was founded by the Brotherhood Commission, the Radio and Television Commission and the Home Mission Board in 1998. At present, NAMB is located in Georgia, Alpharetta. NAMB works with national and territory baptists to set up new Churches in addition to their missionary and pastoral care activities. NAMB is now helping Southern baptists in their attempts to establish charitable missions, for example flood relief and refurbish substandard housing. In 2003, the SBC began promoting the American Christian TV Scheme. In 2005, NAMB stopped production of radio. NAMB sold FamilyNet to ministries in touch in 2007.
