University of Georgia (UGA or Georgia) is a premier land-grant public university and research center and comprises approximately 470 buildings in its main campus located in Athens, Georgia, two smaller campuses located in Tifton and Griffin, and operates a satellite campus located in Atlanta and Lawrenceville. The university was established in 1785, as the first in the nation approved by a state charter. The main campus has over 760-acres of land, and the university system, including all satellite and annexed campuses, combines an impressive 41,539 acres of land. Over 38000 students are actively enrolled at the university, supported by a distinguished educator staff of 3240. The university has produced governors, generals, renowned doctors, athletes, and numerous other notable and renowned alumni, ever since its pioneering days. UGA staff, faculty, and search group positions are available, to join its rich community of Nobel laureates and renowned professionals.
