As the name might suggest, FirstLight specializes in providing fiber-optics-related services such as the Internet, Datacenter, and cloud services to carrier and enterprise customers connecting around 9000 locations (in-service) with a capacity of servicing extra 30,000 locations by its 20,000-mile fiber network. The company offers high-bandwidth solutions including Ethernet, dark fiber, and wavelength services. Its clients include governments (local and state), higher education institutions, schools, hospitals, national cellular service providers, law firms, etc. The company’s network operations center (NOC) and headquarters are located in Albany, New York, while the customer repairs centers are spread across Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Victor, New York. NOC and Customer Repair Centers operate 24-hours a day. FirstLight offers various employment opportunities in the areas of telecommunications and networking, fiber technicians, finance, I.T, and sales and marketing.
