i started at General Dynamics (2013) which is now known as Maximus as a CSR (customer service rep) Shortly there after I was approached with an invite to join the Operations Manager meetings every morning as the only CSR ever to join the focus group of Operations by the Op manager at that time. From there I was promoted to ISG (internal supervisor support Group) where I provided resolution to escalated issues. Finally I was promoted to supervisor of 15-20 CSR's. I supervised up until i had a bad car wreck and the injuries were fresh which prevented me from continuing my employment. Great place to excel and grow with the company. Great management team!!! I always looked forward to the holiday, wow they were soooo much fun!!

Pros and Cons
benefits, incentives, potluck lunches, holiday activities

The big wigs had no idea what the little folks were doing. The "bosses" worked hard to protect their own job and used the efforts of the little folks to reach their selfish goals. When GD downsized, I do not recall any of the big wigs standing in the unemployment line.

It's a okay place to work, very busy and no time for friendship really. class training is crowded, not enough computers. That does not help the training for others that don't get the right equipment. Hub, meetings are kind of helpful, to know each other and our Supervisor. Main issue is to assist all callers with insurance needs.

schedules are awesome 24 hrs for those that have more than one job.

They play favorites on who they want to give points to and not give points to. Someone who missed work for legit reasons gets fired due to someone leaving work because they was hung over from the night before...that’s insane! Witnessed this first hand! Not to mention, how can you fire someone when you had them sign a write up that wasn’t given until MONTHS after so called “verbal warning” and back date it?!?!?

I had good and bad times while working at this call center. I met a lot of new wonderful, caring, and still good people. The company had great benefits but terrible pay. The supervisor was HORRIBLE , that was their first higher up position( it went total to their HEAD) Anything and Everything went in this place. If you could think it (sex in the bathroom, smoking weed in the bathroom, fighting over the mayor election, cars get repo daily after tax time, if they didnt quit the job when they got the tax money. The manager never believed the CSR word always the supetvisor unless they was sleeping with the CSR. One supervisor had all the mamagers, some supervisors, couple trainers, and csrs'. I cant say everybody was doing it because alot was coming in on time, didnt miss a day, doing their work and didn't want nobody there but was noisy it wasn't hard to figure it out who was messing around. No matter what the policy was set it was always something going on.NEVER A DULL MOMENT
