About Medical Scribe

What does a Medical Scribe do?

As Medical Scribes, we are tasked with going to and entering patient rooms with the Physician to document the medical procedure and visits performed by the physician for health insurance purposes. We also prepare referral letters for the Physician while adding a summary of the patient's medical records in accordance with every relevant writing format and standard. We ensure that the patient’s medical documentation is up-to-date, error-free, and signed by the patient’s assigned healthcare provider while adding other clinical data such as the physician’s interpretation and lab reports.

Core tasks:

  • partake in the maintenance of the clinic’s patient tracking systems
  • edit and proofread the Physician's medical documents for any error
