My only problem was I learn slow so I wasn't able to gain traction at my position. But I seriously enjoyed working there. We'd haul boxes out of the back room as part of the first phase. Then we'd load the products onto the shelves. After that we'd price items and finish organizing. The breakroom was nice. My boss was impatient with me.. Overtime was often available. Hours were available for everyone. Clean environment. I wasn't fast enough. But I'd give anything for another shot. They gave group interviews, it was an interesting experience.

I enjoyed working there and was disappointed when closed down. Management was friendly and understanding.

I was young wanting to work and finish high school toys r us was a good choice to start with I knew a lot about the games and toys so it felt like I was not even a stocker but a sales person helping customers grab the right gift

Was overworked and under paid. Management didn’t care about the employees even during a major sickness I had went through and was in the hospital but all I got was attitude while crying in pain and on the phone to let them know I couldn’t make it. I ended up getting let go anyway at the end of the season even though I was told how I would work well wherever they needed me and had compliments from customers. They tried to rehire for the next season but wasn’t worth the 500 a paycheck even with all the overtime and I have kids that’s not a livable wage.

I enjoyed my year's at Toys R Us distribution center. They are very kind and considerate to their employees.

I was really glad i had an opportunity to work at this retail store for 3 yrs i enjoyed it i was able to further and get experience workinh at toys r us which i learned alot from . I would definitely go back if had the opportunity

I enjoyed working here when it was a true store. I liked helping people & I liked the fellow co-workers I had. I also enjoyed many of the managers we had. However the top manager was a little more of an issue. She allowed issues to take place that shouldn't. I don't know about other retailers but what I saw here was about par with what other businesses at the time were doing. Now its a different atmosphere in the workplace. I doubt any of this would be allowed today. Other than that I enjoyed my time there & do not regret the experiences i had there.

Started off as a seasonal stock worker quickly moved to bike assembler stock worker and slowly started doing the work of an SRS before you knew it I was the new SRS doing cycle counts item discrepancy stock shipping receiving bike assembly customer service and was never compensated correctly never was given a raise after taking on so much. For some reason they rather lose a good employee then to compensate him. Just didnt make sense.

This job is a job that would be great for a young person in their 20's or early 30's . It is a job that allows you to work in various areas of the store and learn the skills needed in that area. I learned how to do planograms, inventory , advertising , unloading the delivery truck, sort stock , restock shelves and facing. It was a great opportunity to learn new skills that can be used in other types of employment. The hours varied so it made it difficult to schedule important appointments and meetings were far and in between. The line of communication between management and staff was not very good. Management was not often available when needed and times needed to be scheduled. This was a great experience over all. As with any employment there are good points and not so good points.

This company is a good company to work for if you're young and just needing a job to have some extra spending money.

Management would make your life miserable. They would call you out on things over the walkie for everyone including guests to hear. Not professional at all. Manager would sit in the office all day texting on her phone and then yell at us when things weren't getting done. Lead by example

This was my second job and my most enjoyable job experience. I learned a lot from unloading trucks, pricing, scanning/sorting/& stocking merchandise. I learned how to set planograms and had the most experience with customer service than at any other job I ever worked. I liked working here because the atmosphere, people and learning experiences were all great.

Great place to be a kid and a great place to work I had great employees and managers. Wish the stores never would have closed I probably would still be there

I worked at the Toy R us in Poughkeepsie. I had 10 employees, had to make the schedule every week and it was a great job. I just was looking to move up to a district manager when the position was open and they went with someone else . That really bothered me so I decided that my time was up and left the job.
