About Dock Worker

What does a Dock Worker do?

As Dock Worker, we play a major role mainly in the port. We are responsible for offloading the ship. We do most of the work physically but with teamwork, everything becomes simple. Unloading cargo comes with create responsibility and we are responsible for ensuring that the cargo is safe from any damage. We prepare the gangway free from any distractions. We also do cargo inspections to identify if there is any item lost or damaged in the process of shipment.

Core tasks:

  • unload cargo from the ship
  • prepare the gangway free from destructions
  • inspects the items to check if there is any item missing or damaged
  • tying the sheep to the moorings
