About Cable Installation Technician

What does a Cable Installation Technician do?

We, cable installation technicians, install and repair the internet and television cable systems. We maintain the cable systems for business and residential clients. Our duties include the installation of voice and data cable systems. We work with the cabled devices and home routers. We set up the ground cables after proper digging. As cable installation technicians, we work with poles and install the equipment. We troubleshoot the issues with cable systems. Some of us also communicate with clients regarding the installation and repair services. We are responsible for regular maintenance of the cabling systems. In addition, we test the new cable systems or relocated systems.

Core tasks:

  • removing the faulty cable systems and testing new ones
  • repairing the cable towers and poles
  • tying up the cables and ensuring safe storage
