Completed an application online, which includes a video interview process. Was emailed an invitation to the next interview step, a group interview. Group interview was fun and informative. Was asked to stay for individual interview, which was friendly.

10% on own brand products from HEB/Central Market. 15% off shift meals from prepared foods in store. They also do events twice a year were we get 20% off own brand and extra savings on toys, housewares, lawn and garden, etc. Usually one around Easter and one around the holidays which is great.

Every week the managers had a weekly financial meeting with ongoings of the store. We discussed in great detail how each department was doing . We also talked how each department could cross utilize each other thus selling more product.

The process was fairly quick. It was about 2 hours, maybe a little more if you make it past the initial interview/ first impression/ So I had "reserved" a spot. Showed up, gave me a freebie bag and had some breakfast in case you hadn't eaten. Sat down because I hadn't applied for a position but I did mention to someone that I was interested in the In-Store Shopper (Curbside) position, so they jotted my name down.

They use HireVue, which is a digital interview platform. You have about 1 minute to record your answer to each question. HireVue has an AI feature that helps filter out applicants, but Central Market doesn't use this feature. Instead, the videos are reviewed by actual hiring managers. I haven't yet received a response but I thought the interview process was pretty good.

The health insurance was great especially for families, the credit union was a great perk , and the mental health through partner care was great they provide free health care for a certain number of visits.

I get along very well with my coworkers, raises 2x/year, I feel I'm treated well. OK discount on HEB brand items. Flexible with my schedule, managers are willing to work with you to get your shifts covered

Got there 15 minutes early and waited upstairs with the other applicants for the managers to ready the conference room for us to start our group interview. Roughly 10 people were there, we sat at tables and did a series of activities and answered some basic questions and introduced ourselves to the room.

Most of the people are nice and you can take breaks when you want. They were very flexible with college and high school students' hours.

The interview process for even a cashier position was long, but because of that process, all the people that I worked with were kind, passionate, good people who I quickly became friends with. Within the first week, half of the staff had come up to introduce themselves to me.
